If your prefer to read instead of watching our short video, here is the transcript of Mal Gilvar on the trade show floor at MRO 2021:
Mal Gilvar: Hey everybody, welcome to another edition of The Bottom Line with TTG. Really excited to be able to do this one from the show floor at MRO in Orlando, FL. The first thing I want to say is it’s great to be back. It’s great to be having shows again: really exciting. But I want to point out some of the safety features that you’ll see at shows right now. One you’ll notice the aisles are wider now than they’ve probably never been before. In fact, this is probably the widest aisles I’ve ever experienced at a trade show. And as you can see, there’s a lot of people here, but there’s a lot of space in between people. You’re also going to see a ton of hand sanitizer stations. Almost every single exhibit you see has a hand sanitizer in it. You’ll also see no shaking of hands as people approach each other at the exhibit and the signage that you’re going to see is going to be much more prevalent talking about safety related issues. You know, and as great as it is to see people back at trade shows, what’s even greater is that the quality of the attendees seems to be really good. And don’t take my word for it. Let’s talk to some of the folks here at the show. So Jason, tell me how has the show been?
MRO Attendees: Unbelievable frankly, people are excited to get back out there. Yeah, I think everyone is chomping at the bit being here, really excited about the turn out new faces, old faces just really gets the vibe. just buzzing and excited. I know that the conference might not be as big as it was, but we’re on the rise. Things are coming back and it’s great. I mean there was a lot of people here. It’s been a very safe environment. People are social distancing, the masks are being worn, less handshaking than normal, but the bottom line is there are eager business people in this room and I couldn’t wait to wake up this morning and get here. We are so excited to be here. Awesome so overall good to be back.
Mal Gilvar: Overall good to be back for sure. So what’s the bottom line? Well, trade shows are back and it’s really great to see. But not only are they back, they’re back with high quality attendees and they’re back safely. This is a great time to get back into shows and I’m excited to see all of you out of show soon. Thanks for joining this edition of The Bottom Line and we’ll see you next time.
